Vesperith has been taking shape since 2014 and is the magnum opus of Finnish artist Sariina Tani, an ongoing act of channeling cosmic frequencies, infused with intentional ritualistic sound design, ambient textural landscapes, black metal and harsh noise. It is Cosmic Black Ambient. It is Meditative Chaos.
She writes and produces almost entirely alone. Songs start in fragments: a drone, a texture, a vocal idea formed in the dark, shaped less by a plan than by intuition, formed and reformed until something true emerges, something that feels right rather than something merely finished. The results often create a world, a scenery, rather than what is confined by the structural rules of modern songwriting. Art is Magick, and Vesperith's Magick is sound and resonance, its own dance of microcosm and macrocosm.
Vesperith's self-titled debut album was released via Svart Records in November 2019, co-produced with Jun-His (Oranssi Pazuzu, Waste Of Space Orchestra). The album and its accompanying "Quintessence" video drew coverage across the metal press, including Metal Hammer, Kerrang!, and Revolver, who premiered the "Quintessence" video as its first-ever screening anywhere.
Vesperith is presently developing two concurrent bodies of work, working together as two swords: one of Void, one of Fire.
Framed as a corrupted transmission crossing over from outside this reality, CTRL+ALT+DEIFY treats noise and resonance as proof: evidence of a long-distance signal from our true home. Releasing in fragments, it is a command entered into the inverted construct: the sound of waking up inside the machine.
Zir Om, currently in composition, is the celestial counterpart to the Sword of the Void, a trilogy built for more conventional paths and physical release, carrying the frequency of sacred fire where CTRL+ALT+DEIFY carries the frequency of the Void.
These are the counterparts, the eternal dance of the manifested and the unmanifested.
